Sparrowhawk at HISWA

Writer's picture: robshepherd66robshepherd66

We couldn't leave the Netherlands without a visit to the HISWA, the Dutch equivalent of the London Boat Show. Also because this time Sparrowhawk was legitimately on the shelf!

We were kindly invited by L.J. Harri, nautical bookshop (and so much more) in Amsterdam, to represent Sparrowhawk (the bookshop holds copies of Sparrowhawk in their shop!)

Of course we were delighted to do so, spending a day at their stand at the exposition centre RAI, while every now and then checking out the rest of the RAI to see what kind of vessel one could buy if one would wanted to, or should I say, could….?

Don't forget, if you do visit the Maritime Museum in Amsterdam any time soon, don't forget to pay a visit to the "Schreierstoren" as L.J. Harri's shop is housed in this extraordinary tower originally built as a defence tower in the 15th century. THey welcome any question you might have about sailing, boats, nautical instruments, nautical books etc. etc.
