My first 'fitting out' dinner: a celebration of the opening of the sailing season. What better occasion than to celebrate one’s own beginning; a – special - birthday?
I was honoured to be a guest of the Island Sailing Club in Cowes on the Isle of Wight and join them in a lovely evening of celebrations and memories of that well-known race around this beautiful Island all of 167 years previously; the America’s Cup. Now, the Island Sailing Club is host to several well-known races herself, so I left with more wonderful stories and a smile on my face.
